The Village - "a place where everybody knows your name!"

We hope our website will be an excellent resource to all of our members and friends in fulfilling the above statement.  The community spirit it embodies plays a vital role in our efforts to preserve the legacy we value as members of a unique and diverse neighborhood.

Longbeach Village, nestled at the northern end of Longboat Key, Florida, has long been recognized as being rich in history.  Founded in 1885 as a small fishing village, it has grown in both size and stature over the years, yet retains its "old Florida charm."

The Longbeach Village Association holds regular meetings and produces special events designed to create opportunities for getting to know one another and to enjoy the warmth of human relationships.  In doing so, we continue to reap the benefits of friendships with those who live here in our special piece of paradise.  Our members represent a wide spectrum of interests, talents, abilities and accomplishments.

Our meetings provide a forum for discussing issues that directly effect the Village and also provide a measure of entertainment as we seek out a broad variety of speakers on many diverse topics.  And of course, all meetings are replete with refreshments and socializing.
